Sarah Montero comes to Phinizy with a Master of Science in Environmental Management from the University of Maryland University College. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oglethorpe University where she participated in field work in the boundary waters of Minnesota and the Hawaiian Islands. Sarah spent three years in Germany working with children of all ages through childcare, at a U. S. Army elementary school, and as a Chemistry and Physics substitute teacher at a U. S. Army High School. She volunteered as an Environmental Technician for the U. S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden’s Environmental Division where she organized education and public outreach events and assisted their Biologist and Ecologist. Sarah specializes in Stormwater Management including water quality monitoring and sediment and erosion control.
